Haiku prominent figures Bruno G. Albuquerque (BGA) and Jorge G. Mare (Koki) recently met with former Be Inc. CEO Jean-Louis Gassée at Allegis Capital (Palo Alto, CA) to discuss the future of the Haiku operating system. Read on for some ground-breaking news... 

Just kidding! ;) Bruno and I did meet JLG on July 16th at his office in Palo Alto, but it was actually a courtesy visit to thank him for his support at the Haiku Tech Talk held at Google last February, which JLG not only attended but at which he also gave an inspiring speech in support of the Haiku project. As a small token of appreciation, we handed him a Haiku T-shirt and a couple of bottles of Argentine wine that I had bought for the occasion (no, we did not drink them).

We want to thank JLG for making space in his busy schedule, and we look forward to the day when he is seen in public wearing the Haiku shirt (we want a photo!). Who knows, maybe he makes a surprise appearance at WalterCon next month?
