Just read a mail sent by Vassilis Perantzakis, from BeOS MAX fame. His idea is to create a hardware reporting tool where the user can then select all the hardware that works. The tool will then send back a report to BeOS MAX (anonymously if preferred) with the IDs of all the devices.

It's an interesting idea and the best thing about this challenge is, Vassilis will pay 100 Euros to the first one to come up with a usable app. That's around $127USD. So if you think you have the skills, start your coding engines! But beware, Daniele Protti, the author of the excelent BePC-Info is already adding this hability to his app, even extending it somewhat.
