Lately there is a trend to integrate SVG on the desktop (Linux DE's adopting it and also the SVG compatible Tracker in Zeta) but there is no SVG support for the standard BeOS R5 user at this time.

He has already taken the project off the starting lane and has "written a perl script (using the very helpful HTML::TreeBuilder module) that can convert the BeBook html into valid xml documents" along with more progress being done.

For Beta 8 they have been focusing on "the tools, some more GUI work and of course bug fixes". They have also done internal rewrites to improve stability.
You can see two screenshots, the first one showing the results of those rewrites and the second showing general GUI improvements.

In the initial distribution, each stock will be worth USD $0.58, without interest. Any stockholder that had transactions dated after March 15th 2002 will have to talk to their own brokers to find out how (if possible) to exchange their stocks for cash.
So there you have it folks. The stockholders finally know what's coming their way, 58 cents. Especially for those who bought (and stuck with them) the stocks right after the IPO, it must be painful to be reading this...
